What is the Ideal Sleep Temperature?
According to the National Sleep Foundation, the bedroom temperature should be between 60 and 67 degrees F. So don’t turn the thermostat down to far at night! While the cold is good for sleep, you want to make sure that your thermostat falls within this range.
Why is this the ideal temperature?
Since your body temperature decreases when sleeping, keeping your thermostat between these temperatures can actually help you fall asleep faster! Cooler temperatures tell your body that it’s time to go to sleep. If you keep your thermostat outside of this range, you may be saving money, but might find that you are more restless at night and have a lower quality of sleep.
